Responsibilities

- Formulate the protection circuit module, encompassing schematic, layout, and Bill of Materials (BOM), and meticulously select components to fulfill all specified requirements.
- Craft the engineering requirement specification for the battery pack and protection circuit module, incorporating custom Integrated Circuit (IC) components for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Spearhead Design for Manufacturability (DFM) discussions with vendors in the early design phase to streamline the manufacturing process.
- Conduct comprehensive validation tests, ensuring the protection functions (over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)) of the Protection Circuit Module (PCM), battery pack, and system performance meet specified standards. This involves assessing charge time, battery temperature during charge and discharge, cycle life at varying temperatures, and ensuring reliability and safety.
- Verify the performance of the fuel gauge, fine-tuning models for accuracy in line with project requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of practical experience.
- Demonstrate a track record of 3 years in the design and development of electronic circuits, particularly in microcontroller-based mixed-signal and digital systems.
- Showcase expertise in collaborating with suppliers, specifically in the realm of Lithium-ion battery protection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in utilizing EVKits, impedance meters, and battery testers like Maccor or Arbin.
