Responsibilities
- Develop designs that align with the optical infrastructure and capacity requirements of Google’s global core production network.
- Offer expertise across the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, integrating new solutions into plans and designs. Ensure that plan and design toolsets and business processes are well-prepared to accommodate NPIs.
- Lead the team in automating various tasks, contributing to the automation roadmap. This initiative significantly reduces cycle time while enhancing overall quality and consistency.
- Revise and advance the business processes overseeing the creation of designs across their lifecycle. This includes refining processes such as input gathering, generation, validation, publication, and transfer. Define business policies governing these processes, encompassing architectural/topology, hardware lifecycle, and capacity/utilization goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Possess a six-year track record dealing with technical and process-related issues in network planning.
- Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing internal forecasting, planning, and design tools such as WAND, Tetralight, Hauler, DENS, and others over the same period.
- Additionally, I bring six years of expertise in creating business or project budgets and conducting thorough cost-benefit analyses.
