Responsibilities

Senior Software Engineer, Android Job

1. Develop Android client code solutions aligning with the overall Product Strategy, while strictly adhering to established engineering best practices, design guidelines, and principles.
2. Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, UX/UI specialists, Quality Engineers, and Product Owners/Analysts to create high-performance, quality customer experiences that are not only engaging and purposeful but also powerful in their simplicity.
3. Actively participate in all agile ceremonies within the team, ensuring the timely delivery of all commitments with the utmost quality.
4. Serve as a passionate advocate for the mobile platform, both within internal circles and external developer communities.
5. Maintain an ongoing commitment to learning and staying abreast of all technologies related to mobile development, including but not limited to Kotlin, Swift, 3rd party libraries, etc.
6. Contribute effectively to group discussions, incorporating feedback and communication from the broader team.
7. Mentor junior to mid-level team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
8. Engage proactively with developers across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.) beyond the local sprint team.
9. Take ownership and lead the delivery of major components and platform requirements, collaborating closely with Senior Engineers and Architects.
10. Share best practices consistently and contribute to process improvements within and across sprint teams.
11. Identify technical challenges early in development and collaborate closely with the team to devise creative and effective solutions.
12. Conduct thorough reviews of pull requests, ensuring strict adherence to Kotlin and other language idioms.

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $161,900 – $184,800 for Senior Software Engineer

Basic Qualifications

1. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree
2. Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in software engineering (Internship experience is not considered)
3. A track record of at least 2 years in developing Android applications
4. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Kotlin
