Responsibilities
- Play a critical role in Google’s product development and launch cycle:
Guide product and engineering teams towards privacy-enhancing designs. Minimize data collection, respect users, and reduce risk in the design process. - Guide product development through ambiguous problems:
Lead through influence to navigate challenges in product development. Develop internal and external policies to systematize guidance for addressing uncertainties. - Work closely with key stakeholders across numerous teams:
Design and deliver next-generation privacy-preserving technologies. Collaborate with stakeholders from various teams to ensure comprehensive privacy measures. - Conduct technical and policy reviews:
Identify and escalate potential privacy concerns for features launching on both single-user and multi-user devices. Assess and address privacy considerations through thorough technical and policy reviews. - Manage proactive development of new privacy features and tools:
Integrate privacy considerations throughout the product design and release process. Respond to privacy incidents, if they occur, including collecting information on scope and root cause, as well as managing remediation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educational Qualifications:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field of study, or demonstrate equivalent practical experience.
- Professional Experience:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Threat modeling
- Data anonymization and classification
- Auditing access to data
- Reviewing requests for data access.
